Work

Concept work, built end to end.

Three complete websites across three industries, each built to demonstrate a different design language and a different set of technical requirements.

They are not mockups or screenshots. Open any of them and use them exactly as a customer would.

Please read this first. Wattlebank Plumbing & Gas, Ombra & Oat and Vellamere Skin & Body Co. are fictional businesses. Their websites are concept builds created by Momentyx to demonstrate design and build capability across different industries. They are complete, working front ends—not client projects. Nothing on this page represents a real customer, a testimonial, or a proven business result.

Trades & Construction Fictional concept build

Wattlebank Plumbing & Gas

A trade website built around the two things a customer needs settled before they call: can you help, and roughly what will it cost.

The brief

Trade customers arrive with a problem and a budget worry, in that order. Most plumbing websites answer neither above the fold, so the visitor leaves to compare three others. This concept answers both immediately, then removes the friction that usually kills the enquiry—uncertainty about price, and uncertainty about whether the business even covers the suburb.

What this concept demonstrates

  • An interactive estimator giving a realistic price range before contact
  • A postcode service-area lookup answering coverage in one click
  • A filterable project gallery organised by job type
  • Accessible accordions for services and common questions
  • A separate emergency contact path with click-to-call
  • Trade-appropriate typography and a high-contrast palette

Build notes

Hand-written HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. The estimator and lookup are progressive enhancements—every service, price guide and contact detail remains readable if the JavaScript never runs.

Wattlebank Plumbing & Gas is a fictional business. The company, its pricing, its service areas and its gallery content were invented for this concept.

Hospitality Fictional concept build

Ombra & Oat

A hospitality website that leads with atmosphere, then makes the practical details impossible to miss.

The brief

Hospitality is judged on atmosphere before it is judged on menu, but the visit only happens once someone has confirmed the hours, found the door and decided there is something they want to eat. This concept treats the room as the headline and the logistics as the conversion—without burying either one underneath the other.

What this concept demonstrates

  • An image-led hero with restrained editorial typography
  • Menu architecture that stays readable on a phone at a bus stop
  • Dietary and allergen markers built into the menu structure
  • Opening hours and location surfaced above the fold
  • A booking and group-enquiry path separate from general contact
  • A gallery treatment that loads quickly on mobile data

Build notes

Image-heavy designs are where performance usually collapses. Every asset is locally optimised, correctly sized, lazy-loaded below the fold and given explicit dimensions so the layout never shifts while the page settles.

Ombra & Oat is a fictional venue. The menu, hours, location and booking details in the concept were invented to demonstrate the layout.

Beauty & Wellness Fictional concept build

Vellamere Skin & Body Co.

A treatment-led website that answers the questions people are slightly uncomfortable asking out loud.

The brief

Treatment businesses lose enquiries when duration, price and preparation are unclear, because the customer would rather leave the page than ring up and ask. This concept puts service detail, timing and next steps in front of the visitor before they have to make contact, and keeps the tone calm rather than clinical.

What this concept demonstrates

  • A structured treatment menu with duration and price guidance
  • Individual service detail pages rather than one long list
  • Preparation and aftercare information presented plainly
  • An appointment enquiry flow with treatment pre-selected
  • A soft, considered palette held to WCAG 2.2 AA contrast
  • Generous whitespace without losing the enquiry path

Build notes

Low-contrast palettes are where wellness websites usually fail accessibility. Every text and interface pairing here was checked against WCAG 2.2 AA during the build, and the enquiry flow is fully keyboard operable with visible focus states.

Vellamere Skin & Body Co. is a fictional business. Treatments, durations, prices and aftercare content in the concept are illustrative only.

An honest note

Why concept work rather than a client list?

Momentyx is independent and deliberately small. Rather than filling this page with thumbnails nobody gave permission for, or numbers nobody can verify, three concepts were built end to end so the actual standard of the work can be judged directly.

  • They are complete, not decorative

Each concept is a working front end you can open, navigate, resize and test. Nothing here is a static image of a design that was never built.

  • No invented results

There are no conversion percentages, traffic figures or revenue claims on this page, because these are concepts and any such number would be fiction.

  • No invented clients

No testimonials, reviews, logos or case studies appear anywhere on this site. When genuine ones exist and permission has been given, they will appear here properly attributed.

  • Built to the same standard

These were built the way a paid project is built—semantic structure, keyboard-operable navigation, contrast checked during the build, and no framework weight carried along for convenience.
